I love and yet I do not love
Anacreon, fr. 46
I love and yet I do not love
I am crazy and I am not crazy
Anacreon (570 BC-488 BC) was a Greek lyric poet famous for his drinking poems. In this fragment he deals with the contrasting feelings that love provokes, as Catullus will do later in his widely known epigram "Odi et amo" ("I hate and I love").
